CONSULTATION

After more than four decades at the intersection of academic psychology, university administration, and clinical practice, I offer consultation services to institutions, programs, and individuals.

Academic Program Accreditation & Site Visits

I have served as an accreditation site visitor for the American Psychological Association's Office of Accreditation since 1983 — chairing or participating in more than 20 site visits. I have also chaired APA Appeals Panels and served as a site visitor for the American Bar Association. I currently serve on the APA Board of Educational Affairs’ Appeals Panel.

Whether your institution is preparing for an initial accreditation, a continuing review, or an appeal, I can offer candid, experienced guidance on strengthening your program.

University Program Development & Review

During my tenure as Provost/Executive Vice President at Nova Southeastern University, I was responsible for the academic quality of the institution's full array of doctoral, master's, and undergraduate programs — spanning law, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, psychology, education, business, computer science, oceanography, and criminal justice, among others. I chaired and served on numerous searches (provost, vice presidents, deans, and the presidential search) and established the University's Academic Review Process. I also oversaw inaugural and continued accreditation of Clinical PhD and PsyD programs as well as a Clinical Psychology Internship Program.

Forensic Psychology Consultation

I served as a consultant to the Florida Department of Professional Regulation's Board of Examiners in Psychology from 1990 to 1997, conducting site visits of programs whose graduates sought licensure, presenting expert testimony before State of Florida Hearing Officers, and advising on policy matters. I also consulted with local law enforcement agencies regarding best practices in witness interviewing and have served as an expert witness in criminal and civil procedures.

I am available for consultation on curriculum development, program quality assurance, administrative restructuring, and strategic academic planning and welcome inquiries from legal teams, agencies, and institutions seeking expertise in forensic psychology, psychological assessment, or program evaluation.
