Jobs (Odd Ones!)

Not every chapter of a life fits neatly on a curriculum vitae. Before graduate school — and sometimes during it — I worked the kinds of jobs that teach you things no classroom can. Among them:

I hold a Florida Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate certification, which grew from a practical interest in property and investment that developed alongside my academic career. Over the years I have worn more hats than I can easily count, and I have come to believe that each job, each unexpected turn, adds a layer of resourcefulness that makes you better at everything else you do. I’ve worked as a trainman conductor for the railroad, in a cemetery, in a hospital ER and in a variety of factories.
